The local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society handed out hardware last night, to thank their many volunteers.
At St. Theresa Secondary in Belleville, supporters were thanked for their countless hours of help, whether it be for door to door work, the Daffodil campaign, or the Relay for Life.
Theresa Bell, a local resident fighting the disease, was recently given the Medal of Courage, the highest honour given by the Canadian Cancer Society.
Bell spoke last night and thanked everyone who supported the fight.
Some on hand were given pins for as much as 45 years of service.
