Tweed and Centre Hastings firefighters fought a house fire on Queensborough Road in the northern part of Tweed this morning.
Flames were reported in the attic of a house at 386 Queensborough Road, north of Highway 7 before 4 o’clock this morning.
The residents escaped safely, but two people were taken to Belleville General Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The fire was under control by 4:30 this morning and firefighters left the scene around 6 o’clock.
