Three men from Marmora have been arrested and charged, in connection with a string of thefts, totaling about $20,000.
Investigators say on March 20th, suspects stole a van from a business in Scarborough, drove to Alderville First Nation and broke into a convenience store on County Road 45.
About a month later, police say the suspects returned to the store in disguise, but didn’t go inside, then a couple of days after that, the store was robbed again.
Also during that month, a separate gas station on Highway 7 in Marmora and Lake was robbed, with cigarettes, lighters and food being the main property taken.
After executing a search warrant at a home near Crowe Lake, police arrested 34 year-old Cory Crockatt, 36 year-old Terry Crockatt and 67 year-old Christopher Battle.
Here are their charges:
Cory Crockatt – 3 x break and enter, 4 x disguise with intent, 4 x possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000), 4 x failing to comply with probation, theft of a motor vehicle (under $5,000)
Terry Crockatt – 2 x break and enter, 3 x disguise with intent, 2 x possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000)
Christopher Battle – 1 x possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000)
