Belleville city council could approve some route changes to its public transit system at its meeting later today.
In an effort to cut $100,000 from its operating budget, Transit Manager Matt Coffey is recommending changes on the route serving the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, the Parkdale Mall route, and the Avondale route.
Coffey says 32.5 driving hours a week will be saved, but that riders will still get good service.
Belleville council meets at 4 this afternoon at City Hall.
