The Kiwanis Walleye World Fishing Derby is over for another year.
The fishing was good, and as usual, thousands participated in what has long been an event marked on the
calendar of fishing enthusiasts from far and wide.
Here is a list of the top fish caught in this year’s derby.
The biggest pike in the senior division was 14.57 pounds, and was caught by David Chong.
In the senior Walleye division, the winning fish weighed in at 12.89 pounds and was reeled in by Richard
Durston.
Alex Swain topped the Junior Pike division with a fish tipping the scales at 8.77 pounds.
The Junior Walleye that topped the leaderboard weighed 7.67 pounds and was hooked by Nolan Walcott.
None of the tagged fish worth cash and prizes were caught this year.
