The route was changed but the focus of the parade remained the same.
Men in bright red heels paraded through downtown Belleville’s Riverside Parking lot today (Saturday) in the Royal Lepage Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event.
The annual event raises money for the Three Oaks Foundation which operates shelters for abused women in the community.
The change in route was due to ongoing reconstruction along Front Street.
Organizer Connie Carson of Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty said sponsorships and auctions went very well this year and about 21 thousand dollars were raised with some donations still coming in.
