Six years ago, Dave Mills was inducted into the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame. Last night Mills took his place in the Ontario Golf Hall of Fame.
The longtime Executive Director of the Golf Association of Ontario is credited with turning around an organization that was experiencing significant financial and administrative challenges. Mills also led the process to amalgamate the Ontario Golf Association with the Ladies Golf Association. He called that a game changer.
The Plainfield resident was emotional about the honour.
Dave Mills joins the likes of George Knudson, Moe Norman, Sandra Post, Mike Weir and Ian Leggatt.
Dave Mills is also the father of Jon and Jeff, both of whom have played on the professional golf tour.
