There is a serious garbage problem on the border between Tyendinaga Township and the Tyendinaga Territory.
The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte want to sit down with members of Tyendinaga Township council to discuss how to stop people from dumping garbage at the former Shannonville fairgrounds.
That’s located at Old Highway 2 and Salmon River Road.
Township Clerk Steve Mercer says the area is a mess and all options are on the table.
