Officials at Quinte Health Care say they’re thrilled with a new ranking that shows the hospital has the shortest MRI wait times in Ontario.
During a study between January and March of this year, average MRI wait times across the three hospitals average just 19 days, compared with the provincial average of 106 days.
QHC Radiologist Dr. Emma Robinson tells Quinte News, it’s a testament to the hard work of the hospital’s entire MRI team.
And Dr. Robinson says patients at the four hospitals should take some comfort in the survey results.
The University of Ottawa Heart Institute came second on the list, with a wait time of 25 days, but you can see the full list by clicking this link.
The provincial target wait time for MRI scans is 28 days.
