The sentencing of a Belleville man regarding a child luring conviction has been delayed until July due to a medical reason.
Jason Wight pleaded guilty to the charge along with possession of marijuana in March and was to be sentenced yesterday.
He was arrested in July of last year, after an officer with the OPP’s child sexual exploitation unit found an ad he had posted on Craigslist, looking for sex with teens.
The officer posed as a 14 year-old girl and the pair exchanged messages over the next two months and arranged a meeting that Wight never attended.
Police later caught up to Wight and arrested him.
In March he received a conditional discharge on the pot charge.
Sentencing is set for July 4 at 9:30 a.m.
