There is hope that there will be a community gardens somewhere in Quinte West this year.
At its meeting tonight, Quinte West council will see a request from 6 residents asking for donations of land so they might organize a volunteer driven community gardens.
Earlier this year, Quinte West council cancelled an agreement with Community Living Quinte West for the gardens located beside the current OPP headquarters in Trenton.
That land will be used to house a new police headquarters.
Quinte West council meets tonight at 6:30 at city hall.
