The Belleville Police Service responded to 48 calls for service between 1 May, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and May 2nd, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Weapons/ Drugs
On 1 May, 2016 at 3:05 p.m. police were called and responded to a noise complaint at a residence on Dundas Street East, Belleville. Investigation of the noise complaint resulted in a 59 year old male being charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm and unlawfully storing a firearm, one count of production of marijuana and 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana, morphine and Percocet).
David Weber is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on 26 May, 2016.
Disturbances
On 1 May, 2016 at 4:54 p.m. police were involved in another investigation when a male refused to leave the area. This male was intoxicated and arrested for his own protection.
On 1 May, 2016 at 6:37 p.m. police responded to a report of man lying on the ground behind the stores of Front Street. This male was intoxicated and arrested for his own protection.
Impaired Driving
On 1 May, 2016 at 7:49 p.m., police were contacted via 911 of a possible impaired, travelling westbound on Bridge Street East.
Police located the vehicle on Station Street. The lone driver has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol. Jonathan Sheared of Newtonville will appear in Provincial court on 12 May, 2016.
