UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.:
Belleville Police say their investigation into a large fire in Thurlow Ward has been completed and no charges will be laid.
Investigators also say they won’t be releasing the name of a man found dead at the scene, when police arrived around 7:00 this morning.
A media release this evening says forensics and criminal investigations teams have finished their work.
The Ontario Fire Marshal may release a cause and damage estimate at a later time, but no other details were given out.

A man was found dead a at the scene of a large house fire in Belleville’s Thurlow Ward this morning.
Belleville police and fire crews responded to 20 Sills Road, near Highway 37, just before 7:00 a.m. and found a home, shed and garage on fire and a man dead outside.
Investigators say a shot was fired, but police had no involvement in the shooting and no interaction with the man before he died.
A cause of death and identity of the man weren’t released and the Ontario Fire Marshal is looking into how the fire started.
Highway 37 was closed between Mudcat Road and Harmony Road, while crews battled the blaze, but was re-opened to traffic around 1:00 this afternoon.
Belleville police forensics and criminal investigators remained on the scene into the evening and no further details were released.
