A run to raise awareness about depression will make its way through the Quinte area later this year.
Clay Williams of the Guelph area plans to run a 13-day marathon that will take him through the Quinte area to help raise awareness.
Williams told Belleville city council this week he is participating in the Canal Pursuit for Mental Health and Defeat Depression Awareness.
Williams, who lost two brothers to suicide, says he intends to run 60 kilometres each day.

Williams told council he hopes the city will host an event when he passes through the area in September and he encourages local first responders to run with him.
Council referred the issue to staff.
