A usually mundane topic will be a hot one at tonight’s meeting of Prince Edward County council.
No fewer than three people will address council asking it to not sign off on a road user’s agreement with wind farm developer WPD White Pines.
John Hirsch is one of the delegations asking that any decision on a road user’s agreement be delayed until after the Environmental Review Tribunal finally hears how roads will be constructed so as to not seriously harm the habitat of the Blandings Turtle.
Those hearings will likely occur in June.
In the meantime, land clearing has been stopped at the wind farm site.
Prince Edward County council meets tonight at 7:00 p.m at Shire Hall.
