There will be a heavy police presence in Prince Edward County today, but it won’t be because of
criminal activity or a disaster.
The 5th annual Quinte Pedal for Hope cycling tour kicks off today (Monday).
The Pedal for Hope team is made up of police officers from local OPP detachments and the Belleville Police Service.
Over the next couple of weeks, the team will be visiting elementary schools throughout Prince Edward and Hastings counties, raising awareness and funds for cancer research.
To date, Pedal for Hope Quinte has raised $325,000.
Today, the team visits Massassauga Rednersville, Kente Public and CML Snider schools in the County.
