The Belleville Police Service responded to 52 calls for service between April 24th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and April 25th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Disturb the Peace
Belleville, Ontario – On April 24th, 2016, at 6:09 p.m. police attended in Plainfield regarding a neighbor dispute. A 37-year old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Liquor Licence Act.
At 11:30 p.m. officers attended on Queen Street as a caller had reported a male stumbling around on the street. A 49-year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
At 11:35 p.m. officers attended at an apartment building regarding a male trespasser. A 38-year old Belleville man was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act for “enter premises when entry prohibited”. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
Traffic Enforcement
Belleville, Ontario – On April 24th, 2016, at 7:38 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Moira Street West. A 44-year old Belleville woman was charged with driving without insurance. She will appear in Traffic Court on May 30th, 2016.
On April 25th, 2016, at 12:22 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Bridge Street West. A 22-year old Belleville man was charged with driving while under suspension and driving without insurance. He will appear in Traffic Court on May 30th, 2016.
On April 25th, 2016, at 12:31 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Dundas Street West. A 28-year old Belleville man was charged with using plates not authorized for vehicle and driving without insurance. He will appear in Traffic Court on May 30th, 2016.
