It’s easy to lay traffic related charges when police focus on it.
The Quinte Region Traffic Coalition laid 163 charges in just one day late last week.
113 of those charges were for speeding.
In the strangest incident during the traffic blitz, a 61 year old man put his vehicle into a ditch on the same road twice. He was charged with careless and had his vehicle taken away.
The Quinte Region Traffic Coalition is made of up officers from Central Hastings, Napanee, Bancroft, Prince Edward County, and Quinte West OPP detachments, along with Belleville, Stirling-Rawdon, and Military Police.
