A number of local police officers will be spinning their tires, all for a good cause.
Monday is the launch of the 5th annual Pedal for Hope Quinte.
Officers with the OPP and Belleville Police will visit 30 schools in two weeks, all in an effort to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
One of the organizers is Detective Constable Jeremy Ashley.
He says the most rewarding part is meeting the kids at the end of it all.
$325,000 has been raised over the last four years and this year’s goal is $125,000.
