The deadline is nearing for public comments on a strategy being developed to address the needs of older adults in the South East LHIN region, including the Quinte area.
The findings of the survey will support the development of the LHIN’s Older Adult Strategy regarding ideas that have emerged through the work of expert panels.
The idea is to ensure that the resources currently available are being used as appropriately and efficiently as possible for the older adult population.
In addition, it will ensure that any new funding is directed at the services and supports that will best serve this population and their caregivers.
A reference panel comprised of stakeholders – including patients and caregivers, as well as a panel – composed of experts in the field of senior’s health have been working with the LHIN.
It is anticipated that the Strategy will be presented to the LHIN Board in June for approval.
