Northumberland OPP are releasing more details about a serious collision yesterday involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Hamilton Township.
At 3:15 p.m. officers responded to Harwood Road near Cedar Creek Trail where witnesses reported a southbound motorcycle with a passenger collided ‘head on’ with an SUV.
The 55-year-old motorcycle driver was transported to an area hospital where he was airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with life threatening injuries. His condition remains ‘stable’.
His female passenger was also transported to an area hospital and airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV received minor injuries.
The area was closed off to traffic for about five hours while OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators combed through the scene.
The collision remains under investigation.
