A man has been airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious life threatening injuries after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car in Hamilton Township this afternoon.
At 3:15 p.m. Northumberland OPP responded to Harwood Road just north of Cobourg where the motorcycle carrying two riders, a man and woman, crashed into a car.
Media Relations officer Steve Bates says the woman suffered serious injuries and has been taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Bates couldn’t comment on the condition of the driver of the car.
Investigators are still working to determine a cause of the crash.
Initial reports indicated the motorcycle veered into the other lane, however that hasn’t been confirmed by police.
