Nearly 200 students within the Prince Edward Hastings School Board were suspended for not having up to date immunizations Friday morning.
In February, 2000 students aged 7 and 17 received suspension notices stating they must have their shots for measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis.
Bill Sherlock with the Hastings Prince Edward Health Unit.
Sherlock says the number of 7 and 17 year-old students suspended was pretty even, with the greatest in Belleville.
If students weren’t able to get their shots Friday they can drop into clinics in Belleville, Trenton and Picton on Monday.
