Quinte West OPP are looking for two male suspects after a teenage boy was abducted and robbed in Trenton Sunday morning.
Constable Dave Luddington says the victim reported he was forced into a red Dodge van with sliding doors on both sides on Monogram Place. The rear windows appeared to be painted or coloured red.
When inside the van a male suspect took the victim’s blue back pack as well as his blue ski coat. The victim was then driven southbound on Sidney Street until the van eventually stopped on North Murray Street where the victim was let out of the van.
It happened around 11:45 a.m.
The driver is described as a white man with dark hair and between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a black jacket, dark touque.
The passenger is said to be a white man between 20 and 30 years old. He is muscular, with glasses and red hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and gloves, dark pants with white stripe, light colour shoes.
OPP are reminding young people to walk with friends, not alone, and to never go anywhere with a stranger. If you are approached by a stranger you should report the event to the police and get as many details about the people and the vehicle as you can.
