The Belleville Police Service responded to 40 calls for service between April 9th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and April 10th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Break and enters
Belleville, Ontario – On April 9th, 2016, at 12:15 p.m. police attended on Greenhill Lane in relation to a break and enter. A model home had been broken into overnight in this new subdivision. Taken were a TV and a computer. Two other houses were entered nearby including an unfurnished home. Nothing was stolen from these houses. Traffic Enforcement
Belleville, Ontario – On April 10th, 2016, at 12:42 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Front Street. The motorist had been drinking and was required to provide a roadside breath sample. He registered a warning and as a result his driver’s licence was suspended for 3 days. His car was towed from the scene. The 21 year old Belleville man was also charged with speeding and “G2 novice violation” and received Provincial Offence Notices.
On April 10th, 2016, at 1:42 a.m. a traffic stop on North Front Street led to the arrest of two persons. The driver, a 22-year old Picton man, was arrested for impaired driving. The passenger, a 19-year old Picton man, was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The driver was charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs.. He will appear in court on April 28th. The passenger was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for his charge.
On April 10th, 2016, at 2:30 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Front Street. The driver, a 23-year old Belleville man, was arrested for impaired driving. He will appear in court on April 28th, 2016 on charges of impaired driving and over 80 mgs.
