A sexual assault a week ago in downtown Picton did not actually occur.
Last Saturday morning, Prince Edward County OPP reported they
were investigating an assault on an adult woman at a commercial plaza on Main Street by two men.
At noon today, in a press release, the OPP say that upon further investigation it’s been determined there was no sexual assault.
The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
