The Alliance to Protect Prince Edward County has withdrawn a motion to stop the clearing of land for wind turbines.
The decision was made at the Ontario Court of Appeal Wednesday in Toronto when it was learned that under law only a panel of three judges could hear such a motion.
A report in County Live says APPEC quickly decided to withdraw its motion because it would have been a waste of time and money because a three-judge panel was not in place.
The courtroom was packed with APPEC supporters.
Meanwhile, the Environmental Review Tribunal has not yet scheduled hearings on how WPD White Pines can minimize harm to the Blanding’s Turtle and Little Brown Bats at the wind farm site.
