Northumberland OPP are turning to the public for help with a major theft from the Brighton Landfill on County Road 26 last week.
Constable Steve Bates tells Quinte News, sometime overnight on March 28th, someone broke in to the site and stole a 300 pound safe, which contained cash, cheques and several hundred Northumberland County bag tags, with serial numbers between F774001 and F775000.
Bates added that the cash inside the safe was divided into numbered Brinks security bags.
At this point, investigators don’t have a description of any suspects, but anyone who might have information can call them, or Crimestoppers.
