The Special Investigations Unit has been called in to investigate an incident involving officers with the Quinte West OPP detachment.
OPP responded to an assault call along Old Highway 2 Wednesday afternoon and during
the investigation a 17-year-old male tried to get out of the residence through a window.
A press release states he suffered serious, but not life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital
by ambulance.
The OPP called in the SIU, which investigates any police actions involving death, serious injury or sexual assault.
