The Quinte Mall is getting a head start on Earth Day.
On Saturday, the mall is hosting an E-Collection and Environment Day.
Mall Marketing Director Matt Higgs encourages everyone to bring their old electronics to the Chapters Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Higgs says for each dropped off item participants receive a ballot for a chance to win one of three $250 Quinte Mall Gift Cards.
There will be various eco-themed groups in Kindness Court and services that are available to help you live green every day.
Hydro One’s Discovery Centre is inside a 1000 square foot trailer, which Higgs says gives the opportunity for all ages to learn about energy conservation, electrical safety and how Ontario’s power system operates.
It will be available Friday 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Earth Day is April 22 – an annual event, celebrated worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
