The spring construction season is coming on strong in the City of Quinte West.
61 building permits were issued last month for a construction value of almost 9 million dollars.
Included are 12 new single family homes and a $900,000 expansion to Fracan, a steel rack manufacturer in Trenton.
In March of last year, permits worth just 5.3 million dollars were issued.
Meanwhile, so far this year, construction value is way up over the same period in 2015.
133 permits have been issued for a value of just over 39 million dollars.
