One of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s most recognizable transport planes made its final flight out of CFB Trenton today.
The last CC-130 Hercules E Legacy series has been taken out of service and flew off to its new home at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa this morning.
The two-hour flight put an end to nearly 50 years of services for the gigantic aircraft, which was used to move people and cargo, search and rescue and navigational training.
The RCAF recieved 24 of the planes between 1964 and 1968 and officials call it a true workhorse.
