Hardly a meeting goes by these days without Quinte West council discussing film or other types of entertainment and Monday’s meeting was no exception.
A delegation led by Ryerson University film student and Trenton native, Maddy Pilon described a student led movie to be filmed in Quinte West this July.
The movie, with a budget of around 100 thousand dollars, will be called “Goliath-Feature Film”. The film will be a mystery/drama about a young woman returning home for her father’s funeral and getting more than she bargained for.
The students asked Quinte West council for $10 thousand dollars support in the form of a sponsorship.
Council did not make a decision on the request.
