You can’t always judge a game by the shots on goal. Take game 2 of the OJHL Conference final in Kingston for instance.
The Trenton Golden Hawks were outshot 38-21 yet scored a convincing 5-1 win over the Voyageurs. The G-Hawks cradled a 2-1 lead into the third before blowing the game open with 3 unanswered goals. Trenton Coach and GM Jerome Dupont cites two key factors in the win.
Mac Lewis scored his first playoff goal for Trenton. He points out the dozens of blocked shots by the Hawks.
Danny Hanlon scored twice. Josh Allen and Lucas Brown added singles.
Trenton takes a 2-0 lead in the series and hosts game 3 Sunday night at 7:30. (7:20 on 800- CJBQ)
