A pair of local environmental agencies are issuing Flood Outlook Statements, with heavy rain in the forecast.
Some of the northern parts of the watershed could see up to 60 millimetres of rain today alone, with more rain coming into the weekend.
Quinte Conservation and Crowe Valley Conservation say water levels could reach their highest points of the season so far, so people who live near waterways and ponds should prepare for minor flooding and drainage issues.
If you’re walking through the area, you should also stay away from streams, ditches and ponds, as riverbanks become slippery.
Quinte Conservation says it will re-evaluate the situation on April 5th.
