A fire that completely destroyed a cottage in Marmora causing $250,000 in damages is believed to be electrical in nature however the investigation is continuing.
The large structure fire began last night at 377 Fidlar Glen Road forcing Marmora and Lake fire crews to call in help from Stirling-Rawdon and Havelock.
Fire Chief Tony Brownson says the owners had just opened up the cottage for the season, turned on appliances then left to go out for dinner.
There was also heat damage to the adjacent cottages.
