Lots of news about public sector salaries these days.
Now, we have information regarding the pay earned by those sitting on
Belleville city council.
Of course, the highest earner was Mayor Taso Christopher, who was paid $85,000 for the Mayor’s job, $4,000 for sitting on the Police Services Board, and almost $25,000 for sitting on the Veridian Board.
Mayor Christopher earned a total of around $114,000 last year, plus expenses.
The 8 councillors all earned just under $30,000 with Jack Miller earning an extra $3,000 for sitting on the police board.
