Quinte West Council was feeling pretty generous at its regular meeting last night, as it donated a portion of land to two local charities.
The city will donate a portion of land on the east end of Bay street, so that the Trenton Memorial Foundation and Habitat for Humanity can build two, single-family homes.
As part of the agreement, the city is waiving all fees for the project, including building permit costs.
The city will also pay all legal and survey fees required for the project.
