The Trenton Golden Hawks have put themselves in the driver’s seat in their Highway 33 playoff series with Wellington.
Liam Morgan scored twice in just over 4 minutes of the second period to push the G-Hawks from one goal down toward a 4-2 victory over the Dukes. Trenton captain Danny Hanlon says Morgan’s first goal was the turning point.
Adam Clements and Hunter Fargey had a goal and assist in the win. Nicolas Mucci and Shaw Boomhower responded for the Dukes. Wellington defenceman Jacob Panetta says they didn’t play well.
Game 4 is in Wellington tomorrow night at 7.
