Prince Edward County is looking for another member of the public to serve on a committee aimed at brainstorming ways to stabilize increasing water and wastewater rates.
At its meeting Tuesday, council appointed County residents Andrew Bowers, Dwayne Storms and Paul Grier to the water and wastewater ADHOC committee.
Also Hallowell councillor Brad Nieman was appointed to the task force after Sophiasburgh councillor Kevin Gale resigned.
Gale tells Quinte News he is really busy right now with too many other commitments.
Going forward council decided that three councillors on the committee could be from either serviced or unserviced areas.
During 2016 budget discussions it was decided that it was imperative to launch a committee after council learned they are embarking on $100 million dollars in water/waste water infrastructure debt over the next 30 years.
