The Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance is reporting a 24% growth in use last year.
The Trails Alliance has 2,400 kilometres of trails spread from Havelock to Renfrew and south.
Manager Cindy Cassidy says they are not just for walking.
She says 24,000 people visit the trails each year.
Cassidy says permits, overnight packages and guided tours are available through the Trails Alliance office in Tweed or online.
