The early spring has caused an early grass fire season this year.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen says personnel from the south Murray hall put out a grass fire on Potter Road Saturday.
And, yesterday, firefighters working out of the north Murray hall dealt with a big 2 acre grass fire that they were able to put out before it burned down a couple of structures on Free Road.
Remember, you must apply for a burn permit from your municipality before burning material outside.
