Quinte West council will be asked to get the ball rolling on a new fire station in Trenton ward.
At tonight’s meeting, council will vote on whether or not to hire a firm from Barrie, MCL Architects to
do the design work at a cost of $226,000 plus tax.
Council has put aside $500,000 for design of the $6 million fire hall.
The design cost proposed is considered low because the Trenton hall will be very similar to one
in Collingwood, designed by MCL.
Quinte West council meets at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
