A Belleville man is facing some serious charges, after city police wrapped up a human trafficking investigation.
Investigators haven’t said much about the case, other than the fact the suspect is a 48 year-old man and that the investigation was spurred by some tips to police.
He’s charged with two counts of assault and one count each of human trafficking, material benefit, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
The suspect is being held for a bail hearing and his name is not being released, to protect the victim.
