Update @ 1:40 p.m.: Corey Wentzell has been denied bail and will be held in custody until his next court appearance on March 22, 2016.
The charges are out for a Kingston man who was arrested after being chased twice through Prince Edward County, by OPP yesterday morning.
Twenty-nine-year-old Corey Wentzell was arrested after police chased a car, stolen from the Wellington arena, along the Loyalist Parkway, until it crashed into a ditch near Huycks Point Road.
Prior to that, police had tried to stop a suspected impaired driver near Big Island but called off the chase in the interest of public safety.
Wentzell is charged with three counts of breaching an undertaking, two counts each of dangerous driving, flight from police and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
He’s also charged with one count each of car theft, possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
He’s in Belleville court for a bail hearing this afternoon.
