Veridian, Belleville’s electricity distributor, is encouraging its customers to make year-round energy saving pledges as part of Earth Hour observances this Saturday.
Spokesman Chris Mace says the utility has “Save on Energy” programs that can help homeowners save money and save energy, including downloading and redeeming coupons for discounts on energy efficient products.
Earth Hour is a world-wide movement to encourage people to turn off their lights for one hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. this Saturday.
