Lower Trent Conservation and the Ontario Provincial Police will be working together to provide more patrols in certain Conservation Areas.
The biggest and almost constant problem in Conservation Areas is that of dogs roaming off-leash.

Lower Trent contracts with a private security firm, but the Quinte West OPP will be assisting with Conservation area patrols as well.
The focused patrols will mostly be along the greenbelt in Trenton, in the Bleasdell Boulder area in Glen Miller and Sager Conservation Area south of Stirling.
