The Belleville Police Service responded to 53 calls for service between March 14th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and March 15th, 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
FRAUD – Belleville, Ontario
The Belleville Police are currently investigating a possible fraud involving door to door solicitation for persons claiming to be collecting funds on behalf of the Canadian Diabetes Walk. The Canadian Diabetes Association was contacted and confirmed that at present they are not sponsoring any fundraiser that would require door to door canvassing. The Belleville Police Service are asking that anyone who may have been approached at their door by persons soliciting money in this manner please contact the investigating officer Constable Dan Joly at 613-966-0882 ext . 2266 or Quinte Crimestoppers.
