Tyendinaga police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a suspicious man who approached a young girl on March 8.
At 7:15 p.m. the girl was reportedly walking her family pet on Young Street in Tyendinaga when a white van approached her from behind and the driver asked her if she wanted a ride.
She fled, advised her family and reported the incident.
The van was last seen traveling westbound on Young Street., turning an unknown direction onto York Road.
The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s. He has a deep voice and was wearing a hoodie.
The vehicle is described as a white cargo type van with side and rear doors that open (do not slide).
