First aid training came in handy big time at Saturday’s Quinte Craft: Beer by the Bay event, as one of our own saved a man’s life.
Michael Sanderson suffered a heart attack at the event at Empire Square Live and Tim Durkin of Quinte News performed CPR immediately.
Quinte West OPP Jeff Scott laid the defibrillator on Sanderson and performed chest compressions as well.
St John Ambulance, Belleville Fire and EMS stabilized Sanderson, who is now recovering from the heart attack in Belleville hospital.
